The check in process was chaotic. At check in time we were told it would still be another 20-30 minutes before the rooms were ready. 90 minutes later we finally got checked in. The staff was demeaning and unfriendly. The standard response to any questions I had started with "you should know"...I purchased a package deal through Expedia however the hotel charged an additional $300 which they stated I should have known about. Room cleaning was only available by request, not a daily occurrence. This was a very expensive hotel with poor service, terrible customer support, and mediocre food. I requested to speak with a manager three times due to the check in chaos, but was never provided one. My concern was related to the hotel charging late fees for not checking out on time but offering no compensation for having to sit in the lobby for 90 minutes past check in time...it seemed a bit one sided ...there are many places in Portland to stay.. pick somewhere else.
